Mission Statement
The Glendale Area Medical Association, Inc. will strive to improve the health and well-being of all those it serves. As active members of our community, our mission is to build a patient/provider relationship based upon: Trust, Understanding, Compassion, and Confidentiality. The GAMA, Inc. will ensure all patients affordable, quality, patient-centered, comprehensive primary health care.
The Glendale Area Medical Association, Inc. is a Federally Qualified Health Center, funded under the Consolidated Health Center Act. Coalport Borough and Beccaria Township community leaders established GAMA in 1979. This HPSA designated area consists of a population of 9,777. The GAMA is a single site that is fully staffed to provide a wide range of primary medical and dental health care services. The provider team consists of two physicians, two physician assistants, one dentist, and one dental hygienist. Services have been provided to over to 5,000 patients with 15,350 total visits in the past year.
The Dental Center offers routine hygiene care and focuses to promote regular preventive dental maintenance. The GAMA medical providers and staff provide a full range of services, including: newborn, pediatric, adult and geriatric primary medical care, gynecological care to healthy women, and sports and occupational medicine. Immunization services are available through the Pennsylvania Vaccines for Children Program. Auxiliary services on-site include: office laboratory specimen sampling and testing, full-service x-ray, inhalation spirometry, and EKG. A fully equipped minor procedure room allows providers to provide care for lacerations, removal of foreign bodies, minor wounds and surgical procedures, and musculoskeletal injuries.
